Data of the Ministry of Investment, quoted in the media, indicated that L.E. 652 million investments have been allocated to revamp companies of both MIHC – Metallic Industries Holding Co. & CIHC – Chemical Industries Holding Co. That included L.E. 50 million for the rehabilitation of an ammonia nitrate project at Semadco – El Nasr Co. for Fertilizers & Chemical Industries , to be executed by a French Co. & L.E. 7 million to revamp the corrugated carton line at Moharram Press Industrial Press Co. Figure further included L.E. 535 million for the rehabilitation of HADISOLB third furnace (to produce 800,000 tons/ year). Here foreign/ local private funding is now searched. Figure further includes L.E. 50 million to revamp production lines & improve their adaptation to environment at Alexandria Sodium Carbonate Co. to reach their design capacity of 130,000 tons/ year. |
