Media reports hard-lining on Cement prices of private sector mills maintaining their (unjustified) level of L.E. 306-309 per ton & the state owned mill continuing to sell at L.E. 250 per ton. Reports claimed those private cement mills are operating under 100 % + profitability since cost per ton would not exceed L.E. 140 per ton (in their views). On his side, Chairman of the state owned National Cement Co. predicted cement exports in 2005 would reach 10 million tons with reasonably supportive export prices.
