Egyptian authorities have confirmed earlier announced plans to revamp five state owned historic hotels in Cairo, Giza & Luxor under L.E. 529 million investments yet shelving privatization of earlier announced hotels till after Parliament elections. They include Marriott, Zamalek, Menahouse, Giza, Falastin, Alexandria, Cataract & Winter Palace, Luxor among others. Meanwhile and according to Mr. Ali Abdel Aziz, new Chairman of the Holding Co. of Housing, Tourism & Cinema, several international consultants are now invited to prepare feasibility studies & planning for the tourist development of a 6.2 million M2 land in Sidi Abdul Rahman. |
