According to Gen. Ahmed Shafik, Minister of Civil Aviation, an international tender is expected to be released next March 2006 for the construction of a new passengers terminal building at Hurghada Airport on 90,000 M2 land under $ 170 million estimated budget. Project would increase the airport capacity to handle annually about 7.5 million passengers. It also provides for a new 4-Km long runway. |
