L.E. 11 million loans were endorsed by CIHC – Chemical Industries Holding Co. & an unnamed insurance company to help revamp Nile Co. for Matches in Alexandria. Issue is part of a plan endorsed earlier by the Minister of Investment providing for CIHC to buy out 1,291,460 shares of the Nile Matches Co. at L.E. 5 per share representing 64.4 % of its capital, hence increasing its share to 100 %. Worth indicating is that the company employs 1,300 persons. The present plan will concentrate on the matches’ factory in Moharam Bek in Alexandria. |
