L.E. 1 billion + project endorsed in favor of Eemar Group of the UAE to build & operate an international exhibitions and conferences complex complete with all related commercial & hotels annexes at the Smart Village in Sixth of October City on 220,000 M2 land. Relevant agreement was recently signed under attendance of Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif. Implementing Agency is Eemar Egypt SAE, affiliated to giant Eemar Group and deputy chaired by Mr. Shafik Gabr [of Artoc Group]. Months earlier, Eemar Group concluded a $ 2 billion deal with the state owned El Nasr Co. for Housing & Development to develop 4 million M2 land on Al Moqattam Hill for completion in 5 - 6 years. Development has apparently encouraged Egypt Minister of Communication & Information Technology to announce starting works on phase 3 of the Smart Village. |
