Sidpec - Sidi Kreir Petrochemicals Co. SAE is said to be evaluating the feasibility of extending its production of both ethylene & polyethylene, apart from further plans to diversify its output. A contract was recently signed with ABB Lummus, a Swiss/ US venture, to prepare main engineering designs for a new 460,000 tons/ year factory to produce ethylene under $ 300 million initial estimated investments. That was announced by the Company Chairman & CEO, Chemist Mohamed Nour El Din, indicating that Arab & International Groups are targeting to acquire 60 % equity share in the company.
