Request for international offers in a public auction for the management & operation of Alexandria Cruise Terminal at Alexandria Port. Bidders must have strong experience in cruise terminal operations. Terminal is expected to operate during the first half of 2006 & to host annually about 500,000 passengers during the first stage. Bidder must also have a distinct experience in managing commercial real estate investments. The area dedicated for the project is 50,000 M2 including 5,000 M2 area designated for commercial purposes. The Terminal is linked to outside of the Customs Zone through a private car bridge 700 meters long to end at the newly constructed memorial gate leading to the historic & commercial center of Alexandria. The Terminal will be also connected to the Egyptian Railways & special trains will operate between the Terminal & Cairo. The project is part of the master plan for the great tourist district at Alexandria Port that is presently under development. The district will include a yacht marina, water front commercial areas, exhibition center, world trade center, parking. Detailed conditions are to get as of 12/18/2005. Pre bid meeting is set for 1/17/2006. |
