Chairman & CEO of the National Co. for Glass & Crystal SAE, Eng. Ahmed Hamza, has announced an L.E. 80 million expansion plan providing for a new furnace & production line. He indicated that the development provides for the doubling of the company annual production capacity from 50,000 tons to 100,000 tons. The company is a long established producer of glass containers, with exports marking 20 % of its output. Most of the raw materials are available locally except sodium carbonate, mainly imported from Turkey & Romania. |
