According to Dr. Hassan Khedr, Minister of Supply & Home Trade, Petrojet Co. is proceeding with works on an L.E. 153 million project to build four 30,000 tons grain silos in different Governorates. Project, for completion in 18 months, is backed by the equivalent of L.E. 60 million soft loan from Opec Fund to cover the project foreign currency component. Silos will be built in Dakahliya, Giza, Menoufiya & Beheira. Meanwhile a Danish company is building other 7 similar capacity silos in Beni Swef, Minya & Qena Governorates under partial finance from DANIDA. Worth indicating is that the local component of all 11 silos is financed by the National Investment Bank. |
